How-To Remove a map

Sometimes it is necessary to remove a map that you have previously downloaded.  For example, if the server changes to a map and the version that you have on your computer is different than the one that the server has, you will need to remove the map so that you can continue to play.  This can happen if another server on which you play have made changes to the map but not assigned a new name.  In any case, it is easy to fix.

1. Navigate to the folder where downloaded maps are stored. The default location is here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life 2 Deathmatch\hl2mp\download\maps

2. Use the search box on your file explorer to find the map that you want to remove.

3. Once the search is complete and the map in question is displayed, just delete the map.  That's it.

NOTE: If by chance you are unable to find the map in the default download folder, your can also search in the following folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life 2 Deathmatch\hl2mp\maps
